At 92, my Mother was admitted to hospice after a long battle with Polycythemia Vera, a rare, slow-growing blood cancer. When complications arose, we made the difficult decision to stop her medication. During her final days, Dawn and the hospice team provided unwavering compassion, support, and guidance. Their presence allowed me to fulfill Mom’s wish to pass peacefully at home, surrounded by love and familiarity.
Questions were always answered, concerns were addressed, and I never felt alone in those difficult moments. The care and attention I witnessed gave me the gift of focus: precious, uninterrupted time with my mother. Dawn’s patience, understanding, and gentle reassurance made a heart-wrenching journey far more manageable. To us, she will always be our “Angel of Mercy.”

Dawn has taken the qualities that make her an extraordinary nurse—empathy, skill, and devotion—and built Legacy Wishes, LLC, providing compassionate care for individuals with health concerns and mobility challenges who want to vacation safely and comfortably with their loved ones. My husband and I are proud supporters of her vision and wholeheartedly encourage anyone seeking a truly compassionate, patient, and professional caregiver to reach out to Dawn. You will not be disappointed! - Rene Midgett
